Intervention of Documents
The
Consulate General legalizes, authenticates and intervenes all type of
documentation. The documents can usually be collected within 24 to 48
hours, provided that: i) an appointment has been taken for submission
of the documents, and ii) the documents are found to be correct as per
our requirements.
Commercial
Documents
1. Merchandise exported from India to Argentina
The Consulate General
intervenes all types of export and shipping
documents, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, price
lists and shipping bills. The procedure usually takes between 24 to 48
hours; however, all documents must be intervened by a Chamber of
Commerce registered with the Consulate General prior to being
submitted.
The Consulate General currently has the following Chambers of

Please note that as per
the Argentine customs law in force,
exporters of textiles are required to submit a copy of the commercial
invoice for authentication, in addition to other documents.
2. Merchandise exported from India to Argentina, manufactured in other countriesThis
refers to goods that are manufactured in a third country (for example,
China) which are first imported into Indian and then exported to
Argentina. This is a case of re-exportation. The following documents
will be required:
- A copy of the commercial invoice of the purchase of the merchandise from the third country.
- Certificate
of origin and affidavit; both documents should certify that the product
being exported to Argentina has been manufactured in a third country.
The affidavit should be printed on the reverse of the certificate of
origin by the Indian exporter.
- Any other documents which make up the export procedure.
Non-commercial
Documents
The Consulate General
also intervenes other documents as per the
applicant's request. In the case of legalization, prior to being
submitted, the documents need to be notarized at the State Home
Ministry. The address is as below:

All
non-commercial documents presented for legalization need to be
translated into Spanish by an Official Translator, and the
translations themselves need to be legalized as well.

Please
note that notarization and translation are normally not required in the
case of attestation and authentication, such as authentication of
photocopies of
passports etc.
Registration
of Seals and Signatures
The Consulate General
invites Chambers of Commerce and public notaries to register
themselves by sending us specimens of their seals and
signatures. Please
